He sees private general surgical and endocrine patients at the Kingsbridge Private Hospital. Mr Robert Kennedy is a member of the Association of Breast Surgeons and of The British Association of Endocrine and Thyroid Surgeons. He was previously the Quality Assurance surgeon for the NHS Breast Screening Programme in Northern Ireland, a member of the Screening and Audit committee at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and chaired the Northern Ireland Clinical Reference Group for Breast Cancer. Treatments and areas of interest • Hernias • Laparoscopic gallbladder surgery • Thyroidectomy for benign and malignant disease • Parathyroid disease • Surgery for skin and subcutaneous lesions Patients with breast symptoms will need to be seen face to face either on the NHS or privately in The Ulster Independent Clinic (UIC). I perform these face to face consultations privately in the UIC on Tuesday evenings where examination, mammography, ultrasound and biopsies are all immediately available if required.
