Terms and Conditions

About Us

Healee (“we”, “us” or “our”), operated by Eight Investments EAD, a company registered in Bulgaria, UIC 206291447, is a mobile software application (“Application”) that can be downloaded and installed on your mobile phone or tablet (together “Device”), but can also be used via a web browser.

About the Application

Our services are provided through the Application, which is an online platform allowing Health and Social Specialists (“Health and Social Specialists”) to communicate with you (“Patient” or “Patients”) in order to provide you with remote assessments and consultations online based on the medical history or problem you report to them (“Services”).

Health and Social Specialists are individuals who practice in the field of healthcare and social services in accordance with the regulatory framework, including but not limited to the Health Act, the Medical Establishments Act, and other applicable regulations. This category includes medical professionals (doctors, dentists, nurses, midwives, rehabilitators, and others (“Medical Professionals”)), psychologists, as well as other non-medical specialists providing health or social services, such as clinical psychologists, speech therapists, social workers, and other persons whose activities are regulated by law. These specialists carry out their activities for the purpose of diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, prevention, psychological support, or social integration, complying with the professional and ethical standards established in the relevant legislation.

We are not a healthcare provider or a medical establishment and do not provide healthcare activities. The assessments and consultations you receive are provided by Health and Social Specialists, who act as independent experts and are not dependent on Healee (or the company behind Healee) in any way.

By using the Application, you accept the rules set out in these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy (see Privacy Policy). You will be required to accept these terms as part of the registration in the Application and when using our services. You may not use our services if you do not agree to be bound by these Terms.

How do consultations with Health and Social Specialists work?

You choose which health or social specialist to consult with. You send a description of your problem along with photos, test results, and other important files and receive a response from them through the Application within 16 to 48 hours, depending on the response time you selected. The response contains information about your condition along with advice for treatment or guidance for action.

If during the consultation the doctor decides you need some medication, he or she may prescribe it to you. If you have not already done so during registration, we will ask you to provide your name and age. Depending on local regulations, this information is required to create a valid prescription.

In the Application, you can find the price list for the services of Health and Social Specialists. By requesting a consultation with any of them, you accept the prices for their services. You pay for the services of Health and Social Specialists through the Application (see “Prices, Payment and Refunds” below), but you do not pay any fees to the Application itself.

We hope these services will be useful to you. Please use them responsibly.

If for any reason you are not satisfied with the services of the Health or Social Specialist you have chosen, you can file a complaint directly with them. Any claims regarding the quality of the received service should be directed to the Health and Social Specialists, who are independent from the Application. The Application only provides the technical means for connecting Health and Social Specialists and you, as users of their services, in an environment that complies with the applicable information security and data protection legislation. The Application bears no financial responsibility to you.

What is required from you

You may use the Application subject to the following rules:

  1. Any information you provide to Health and Social Specialists or upload to the Application is accurate.
  2. If you have any concerns about the services you receive from Health and Social Specialists through the Application, or about information in the Application, you should seek additional medical advice from your GP or another medical professional.

  4. You follow all instructions given to you by Health and Social Specialists.
  5. You follow any instructions for the use of medications and/or medical products recommended or prescribed by the Practitioner.
  6. You inform the Practitioner, as well as the Health and Social Specialists, of any side effects or unexpected effects from the treatments they have recommended.

Informed consent before receiving medical assistance

By accepting the terms and conditions, you declare that you have been informed and agree to the following:

  1. You understand that the services offered by Medical Professionals may be classified as medical and are provided remotely without personal and direct contact or physical examination. You are also informed that the services provided by Medical Professionals do not replace a personal consultation with your GP or medical specialist, and your condition may require an in-person examination.
  4. You declare that you have chosen to have a consultation with the respective Medical Professionals remotely using Healee after being informed of all the circumstances stated in these Terms and Conditions and after being aware that there are other alternatives related to the diagnosis of your illness (visit to a GP, visit to a medical specialist in outpatient care, or provision of hospital medical care).
  5. You understand and agree that Medical Professionals offer quality diagnosis and treatment of your health problem, but not guarantees for a cure.
  6. You understand that you are responsible for monitoring your condition and seeking outpatient or hospital care in case of complications and to contact the relevant medical specialists if necessary.
  7. You agree that during the remote consultation you may receive additional information about your diagnosis, treatment, diagnostic and treatment methods used, their alternatives, risks (if any), and expected results.
  8. You use the Application under the conditions of our Privacy Policy and these Terms and Conditions solely personally and to receive a medical assessment or consultation for yourself or your child over whom you exercise parental rights or are their guardian.
  9. You understand that remote medical consultations through the Platform are paid and by choosing a Medical Professional you agree to pay the price set by them.
