About

Dr. Veska Mihaylova – Markova graduated from Medical University, Pleven in 1987. From then till 1994 she worked as a neurologist in POB- Vratsa. She acquired her specialization in Neurology in 1991. From 1999 to 2018 she worked in the Neurological department in Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment and Emergency Medicine “N.I. Pirogov”. From 2009 till 2018 she has been head of the Neurological department. Dr. Mihailova has extensive professional experience in the treatment and prevention of cerebrovascular disease, primary and secondary headaches, and diseases of the peripheral nervous system. She is a member of the Bulgarian Society of Neurology, European Academy of Neurology, European Society of Neurosonology and Cerebral Hemodynamics. Dr. Mihaylova annually participates and contributes to National, European and World Neurological Congresses and specialized training courses.
